Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting involves fasting for at least 16 hours a day. This gives your body time to deplete its glycogen stores and begin consuming fat as its primary energy source.

One of its greatest benefits is the loss of interest in refined carbohydrates and unhealthy foods in general, since it allows us to maintain more stable energy levels. Furthermore, intermittent fasting stimulates proteins called sirtuins, which are responsible for DNA repair, reducing the rate at which aging occurs.

Fasting accelerates the production of new neurons in the brain, reducing the incidence of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
It is important to consult your doctor and nutritionist before doing it.
